Review meet on Bala Vidya Vikasa Padhakam held

Warangal: A review meeting of 'Vidya Vikasa Padhakam' was held at Bala Vikasa Social Service Organisation here on Friday.A About 350 students from 25 government schools in Warangal, Karimnagar and Nizamabad districts and their parents attended the meeting. The programme Vidya Vikasa Padhakam was initiated in the year 2007 by Bala Vikasa to promote greenery, hygiene, and to impart health education. In association with the department of education every year the organization selects schools from different districts and for the year 2012-13, 25 schools were selected. 350 students, 100 parents and 110 teachers were given training on environmental protection and related issues. Saplings to plant at the schools were also distributed. Separate libraries at all the selected 25 schools with all required facilities were also set up. The Bala Vikasa executive director S Shouri Reddy has presented prizes to the students who won in different contests. Bala Vikasa staff Tirupathi, Mahender Reddy, Rajamouli, Bala Mohan, Srinivas and others were present.
