Warangal: A truly rags to riches story, an inspirational climbing of the ladder from an agricultural worker to now Chief Executive Officer of an American software company; Non-Resident Indian Jyothi Reddy is in the district and celebrated her birthday in the midst of orphan and street children dwelling Homes on Thursday.
She celebrated her birthday in the midst of 72 orphans whose birthday was formalized with her birthday during her last year birthday celebrations by the promoter of the Home, ‘Maa Illu’, Inna Reddy at TB Thanda in Jaffargarh mandal in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, she expressed her delight that 72 orphans celebrated their birthday too with her. She revealed that she is in touch with the organisers of the Homes in the district and would fight for their rights even at New Delhi level. She also wowed that she would work for their rights until her last breathe.
Jyothi Reddy holds multiple posts like chairperson of Orphan Rights India; CEO of USA based Key Software Solutions and A P coordinator for Lead India 2020, with former President APJ Abdul Kalam as inspirational partner to them. It may be recalled that she worked in the agricultural fields as daily wage earner and with sheer hard and smart work she is now CEO for US based company.
Orphans dressed in black dress with ‘Happy Birthday’ imprint and birthday cap grandly celebrated their birthday with Minister for BC welfare Baswaraju Saraiah distributing the sweets to them on the occasion. DCCB chairman Janga Raghava Reddy was also present on the occasion and shared the joy with have-nots.
Earlier, she participated in birthday celebrations at other Homes in city like Mallikamba Manovikasa Kendram and Spandana and cut huge cakes along with the philanthropists. Anurag Helping Society president K Anitha Reddy was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Padmasri Kalphona Saroj lauding Jyothi Reddy for her philanthropy and urged the people to help have-nots and street children. Jyothi granted Rs 2 lakh to the Home on the occasion of her birthday apart from donating TV and DVD sets.
