Warangal: TRS leader Kadiam Srihari said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy have been working hand in glove. They have been supporting Seemandhra agitation and creating obstacles for the creation of separate Telangana. “Whatever they might do, they could not be able to stop formation of Telangana state,” he asserted.
Speaking to press persons here on Sunday, Mr. Srihari came down heavily on the leaderships of Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress Party for their anti-Telangana stand. The bus yatra planned by YSRCP and the bus yatra launched by Naidu have established their adverse approach towards statehood issue. Naidu who came out with the slogan of ‘Telugu Atmagourava Yatra’ should first clarify what it means. ‘He should explain if it is the self respect of Telugus across the world or those living in Seemandhra or the people of Andhra Pradesh’, he said.
Further he said why the TDP chief has failed to come out with similar bus yatra to protect the self-respect of Telugus when crores of people came onto the streets as part of Sakala Janula Samme and hundreds of youth ended their lives in support of statehood cause. Naidu was claiming to be standing by party’s letter to Pranab Committee in support of Telangana but his party leader Kodela Shivaprasad Rao was stating that the TDP was ready to give a letter withdrawing the support and want the Congress to stall bifurcation, Srihari said.
“Because of these double standards of Naidu in dealing with important issues, the TDP has lost the public support both in Seemandhra and Telangana” he explained. Hitting out at YSRCP leader YS Vijayalakshmi who said that the party leader Sharmila’s bus yatra would unite Samaikyandhra activists, the TRS leader said so far the YSRCP leaders have been cheating the people in Telangana by means of their fake claims of supporting Telangana cause.
CM Kiran Kumar, who got the post because of the party chief Sonia Gandhi, was now defying her and promoting unrest in Seemandhra by making anti-Telangana statements openly despite the party’s orders to facilitate the creation of Telangana.
Referring to apprehensions on Hyderabad he said ‘Hyderabad is ours built by our elders but anyone can live there’.
The party MLA M Bikshapathi, T Ravinder Rao, P Sudharshan Reddy and others were present.
