Eluru (West Godavari): District Collector G Vani Mohan has expressed happiness over the welfare activities carried out in the district under the 'Abhilasha' programme. On the occasion of her completion of two years as West Godavari district Collector, she spoke at the press conference held at the Collectorate here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Collector Vani Mohan said that she identified the issues related to welfare hostels, disabled people, providing basic amenities in government hospitals and modernisation of veterinary hospitals as priority in the first month of joining the office. Mrs. Vani Mohan said that many people's representatives have contributed for the 'Abhilasha' programme. In about 150 welfare hostels, mosquito nets, mineral water facility, solar water heaters and other facilities were provided, she said. She briefed about the various welfare and developmental activities carried out for the past two years. Social Welfare Department joint director R Mallikarjuna Rao, District Revenue Officer M Mohan Raju, District Chief Planning Officer K Satyanarayana, Dwama project director Ramachandra Reddy and Civil Supplies Department district manager Salim Khan, among others were present.
