Kakinada: Journalists Joint Action Committee took out a rally in support of Samaikyandhra here on Sunday. Journalist Joint Action Committee convenor K Swathi condemned the statement of TRS MLA T Harish Rao on Seemandhra people. The scribes staged a novel protest by resorting to begging.

Speaking on the occasion, Journalists Joint Action Committee secretary Chethana termed the decision taken by the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on bifurcation of the State is unjustified. Without giving clarity on Krishna waters how can the Congress take the decision, he alleged. Journalist Boddu Venkatramana demanded the resignation of Speaker Nadendla Manohar in support of unified State. He pointed out that if the State is divided the Seemandrha region would become a desert.
