Tharishya, daughter of Kuchipudi dancer Jyothi Reddy, is eleven-year-old, she started dancing when she was about 6-year-old and was learning along with her mother from Guru Yamini Reddy. Dancing with girls of different ages was a great experience she says; imbibing the quality of the famous school of Padma Bhushan Raja and Radha Reddy, Hyderabad.

Dancing with girls of different ages was a great experience she says; imbibing the quality of the famous school of Padma Bhushan Raja and Radha Reddy, Hyderabad.

Her mother who is also her Guru now has encouraged, motivated and trained her from the first day of dance class. Belonging to a family which is involved in cultural and devotional activities she has been encouraged to save and promote traditional Indian culture.

Over the past few years, they have extensively performed Kuchipudi in many famous venues like the Iskcon, Somnath, TTD, Kanchipuram etc. Young and talented Tharishya enjoys taking part in programs with her mother and study advanced methods in nritya, abhinaya, folk tales, puranas, itihasas etc.

Tharishya wishes to support her mother who is dedicated to training passionate and aspiring dancers from all walks of life. She shares that her favourite item in Kuchipudi is the Dasavataram, which depicts human evolution through the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu who is their family deity.
