Former Pakistani cricketer Rana Naved-ul-Hasan has warned Virender Sehwag against insulting cricketers from Pakistan.

Sehwag recently claimed that Pakistani cricketers such as Shoaib Akhtar, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Saqlain Mushtaq and Mohammad Yousuf raise the Indian players and team only in a hope to earn contracts from big media houses based in India.

One of the first ones to react to Sehwag's comments was the former spearhead of Pakistan, Shoaib Akhtar. The latest cricketer to have hit back at Sehwag is Rana Naved, who once had played under the captaincy of the Indian cricketer in a league.

Recently, a few cricketers in Pakistan got together and opened a YouTube channel where they discuss cricket from across the globe. One of the things that have been observed is that they praise the Indians quite a lot during their discussions and that could be because they aim at receiving positive reviews from Indian fans that are in abundance on the internet.

However, Sehwag took that in a wrong way stating they praised the Indian team because they needed stints with the Indian channels.

In 2016, Rana Naved had hailed Sehwag as 'the best captain he played under' after they two played for the same team – Germini Arabians – in the Masters Cricket League. Following Sehwag's recent claims, Rana Naved reportedly has insisted that he took his words back about Sehwag while he also added that the Indians cannot digest respect.

Rana Naved has warned Sehwag to not speak ill about the legends from Pakistan as he called the former Indian cricketer's comments "ridiculous."
