1,135 Singareni Workers to Be Regularised as General Assistants
In Short
Bhatti Vikramarka fulfils assurance to coal belt workers; regularisation to take effect from September 1, 2026

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL)
Kothagudem: In a major relief to Singareni workers, the company management has issued orders for the regularisation of 1,135 Badli Workers and General Assistant Trainees as General Assistants, fulfilling the assurance given by Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka.
The decision is expected to benefit workers who have been waiting for regularisation for the past two to three years or even longer. The regularisation will come into effect from September 1, 2026.
According to the management’s circular, workers who joined the company on or before December 31, 2025, and are working as Badli Workers or General Assistant Trainees will be eligible for regularisation, provided they have completed at least 190 working days in underground departments or 240 working days in opencast mines or outside departments in any calendar year up to December 31, 2025.
Following directions from Singareni Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti, the General Manager (Personnel), Industrial Relations and Personnel Management Department, issued the necessary circular. Area General Managers have been instructed to submit lists of eligible workers by November 23.
The decision follows an assurance given by Bhatti Vikramarka during a recent meeting with public representatives from the coal belt. Workers have welcomed the move, expressing happiness over the government’s initiative to address their long-pending demand.
Earlier, workers had to wait for considerable periods to secure regularisation from Transfer Worker or Transfer Filler to General Mazdoor. However, the regularisation process has been taken up periodically since the formation of the present people’s government, the management stated.
The management has emphasised that Badli Workers and General Assistant Trainees who discharge their duties with discipline and maintain regular attendance without unauthorised absence will be considered for regularisation as General Assistants.
It also pointed out that regular attendance among employees would contribute to improved production and productivity while enabling them to avail themselves of various welfare measures offered by the company.
The management noted that several employees who were previously regularised as General Assistants had subsequently secured higher positions and promotions through internal promotion and recruitment procedures.
CMD Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti urged employees to make use of the opportunities available within the company, maintain discipline and attendance, and work towards enhancing production and productivity. He observed that regular attendance could pave the way for regularisation and promotions, while prolonged absence from duty could put their employment at risk.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka congratulated the workers who would benefit from the latest decision. He said the people’s government was committed to fulfilling its assurances to Singareni employees and called upon them to work with dedication and discipline for the development and expansion of the coal company.
