Hyderabad: After the end of deadline for withdrawal of nominations on Thursday, as many as 443 candidates have remained in fray for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana State. Polling will be held in these constituencies in the first phase on April 11.

With 185 candidates, Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency is on top followed by Secunderabad - 28; Nalgonda - 27; Chevella - 23; Khammam - 23; Peddapalli (SC) - 17; Karimnagar - 15; Hyderabad - 15; Warangal (SC) - 15; Mahabubabad (ST) - 14; Bhongir - 13; Zahirabad - 12; Malkajgiri - 12; Mahabubnagar - 12; Adilabad (ST) - 11; Nagarkurnool (SC) - 11 and Medak has least number of 10 candidates.

A total of 60 candidates have withdrawn their nomination in the last two days.

While polling will be held through EVMs in 16 constituencies, the election authorities have started preparations to hold elections through ballot paper in Nizamabad which has 185 candidates.
