Amruthavarshini sought police help to get the last glimpse of his father Maruthi Rao who committed suicide at Arya Vysya Bhavan in Hyderabad. However, Amrutha's mother Girija and her uncle Sravan objected her to visit their residence.
Maruthi Rao's funeral procession will begin at 10 am and his last rites will be held at a crematorium in Shabunagar in Miryalaguda. The police imposed tight security for the procession from Maruthi Rao's residence to the crematorium.
On Sunday morning, Rao was found dead by the staff of Arya Vysya Bhavan. He is suspected to have committed suicide fearing of getting convicted, the police said. Meanwhile, Amrutha, after learning his father's death said that he might have felt regret for killing Pranay and ended life.
Maruthi Rao was the main accused in the murder of Perumalla Pranay Kumar who was brutally hacked to death by contract killers in Miryalaguda in September 2018. Pranay was returning home from a hospital with his pregnant wife Amrutha and mother when the incident occurred.
