Bhongir: Government's special attention gave new lease of life to handloom sector says Jagadish Reddy
The Energy Minister along with party leaders and their families does shopping of handloom garments at Bhoodan Pochampally
Bhoodan Pochampally (Yadadri-bhongir): Energy Ministerr G Jagadish Reddy on Sunday stated that the government's special attention has given new lease of life to the handloom sector in the State.
The Minister along with other TRS leaders and their family members did shopping at Bhoodan Pochampally to rescue handloom weavers who have been facing trouble due to the stalled sales in the lock down.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, keeping his assurance CM KCR has given top priority to handlooms after the Agriculture sector.
The Handloom sector which lost its charm due to previous united Andhra Pradesh rulers. It was restored its glory with the measures taken by CM KCR.
He remembered CM KCR's begging programme at Bhoodan Pochamapally over the pitiable condtion of the handlooms during the Telangana agitation.
He said Minister for Handlooms KT Rama Rao have been striving hard with innovative programmes for the welfare of weavers.
The Energy Minister said that along with his people's representatives and their family members he carried out shopping at silk city Bhoodan Pochampally in order to rescue the economically suffering handloom weavers due to the lockdown.
Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, MLC Karne Prabhkar, ZP Chairmen A Sndeep Reddy, Gujja Deepika, MLAs P Shekar Reddy, Gadari Kishore Kumar, Kancharla Bhoopal Reddy, Bhaskar Rao, Nomula Narsimhaiah, Shanampudi Siadi Reddy, former Munugodu MLA K,Prabhakar Reddy and their family members did the shopping of handloom materials.
