Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President K T Rama Rao on Saturday said the Congress can go to court if they are against the judgment of the Speaker.

Addressing a press conference here, K T Rama Rao said the Congress party was welcome to go to the court if they have any issues with the Speaker's decision. "If they want to go to the court on Speaker's decision, they can.

We have nothing to fear. If the merger was undemocratic, one can understand but the MLAs had two-third majority and hence have decided to move away, and the Constitution has provided them that right. The Congress should think before talking," Rama Rao said.

He questioned TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy whether or not he would accept 10 TRS MLAs if they decide to join the Congress party.

He asked as to why the Congress leaders did not object when A Revanth Reddy joined Congress without resigning as TDP MLA and K Vishweshwar Reddy from TRS.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public meeting, claimed to have support of 44 TMC MLAs and joined three MLAs into BJP.

The TRS leader lashed out at the Congress leaders for staging dharna over the merger of the CLP with TRSLP. He said Congress leaders talking about democracy was like demons preaching sermons.

The Congress party removed a democratically elected government and imposed emergency. "The Congress party itself promoted defections of the public representatives.

In 2004, the Congress party had alliance with the TRS, and they took away 10 out of the 25 MLAs of TRS. Even after formation of Telangana... they took away three MLCs and a MP of the party," he said.

Rama Rao congratulated the new ZP chairmen and vice chairmen. He asked the public representatives to remember the words of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who always wants the leaders to be humble and make themselves available for the issues of the people.

Replying to a question whether MIM would get status of main opposition, Rama Rao said that it was not under his purview, it is for the Speaker to decide. When asked about Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's cabinet, Rama Rao said it was good.
