Coronavirus infected woman undergoes c-section, delivers baby in Hyderabad
A coronavirus infected woman from Hyderabad underwent caesarean section on Saturday and delivered a baby boy at Gandhi Hospital.
Hyderabad: A coronavirus infected woman from Hyderabad underwent caesarean section on Saturday and delivered a baby boy at Gandhi Hospital. The baby weighed 3 kilograms.
Minister for health, Eatala Rajender on Saturday lauded the Gandhi Hospital doctors for successfully conducting a caesarean section for the 27-year-old pregnant woman. Further, the minister said that the baby is healthy and it is yet to be ascertained if he is infected with the coronavirus.
The team of doctors involved in the delivery of the woman were Dr Mahalaxmi, Head, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, supported by Dr Sangeetha, Dr Anitha, Dr Prasanna Laxmi, Dr Apurva, Dr Mrunalini, Dr Srilaxmi and Dr Ashwini.
The health minister also praised the Gandhi Hospital doctors on the recovery of a 50-year-old coronavirus infected patient who is suffering from End-stage Renal disease and was on dialysis support. He was discharged from the hospital on Friday.
