Corporates pitch in to beautify public places in Hyderabad

Rajendranagar: As a mark of a positive response, more and more corporate bodies are coming forward to extend their support to ensure roads are litter-free in Rajendernagar.

Within a few days of artwork on the ramp pillar at Attapur under PVNR Expressway with the assistance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) that involves support of private corporate institutions, many institutions are coming forward to support the cause that is widely seen as a win-win situation for both the parties.

Recently, a private school has shown interest in draping the pillars at Attapur with artwork and upon completion, the entire floral design that covers almost all the 60 pillars has turned into a strikingly picturesque appearance.

Now, as an another name to add in the list, a corporate body namely "Solitaire Group of Schools" has shown keen interest in draping few more pillars from Aramgarh cross road to Pillar No.294 that accounts for almost 60 additional columns of ramp under PVNR expressway.

A group of delegates from the management met with GHMC Deputy Commissioner .Pradeep Kumar and felicitated him for taking up initiative with the slogan of "Saaf Hyderabad Shaandar Hyderabad" by the corporation.

It is said that the walls of underpass at Aramghar are also covered under the present programme and the work would commence soon after ramp pillars are beautified.

"Last year, with the support of GHMC, we have taken up initiatives to make the roads and way side walls neat a clean with a vision to make the city more vibrant and kicking. For example we have start plantation work from Rajendranagar to Chandrayangutta under Haritha Haram program. Further, we have adopted some GHMC parks at Upparpally, under Rajendranagar area wherein we are maintaining flora and fauna besides amusement facility there. This time too we have started artwork on the ramp pillars from Aramghar to Pillar No. 294. Soon after the work at pillars, the work at sidewalls of underpass at Aramghar would be covered with artwork. Actually we have proposed to take up the work last year itself but due to some unavoidable circumstances we have started it off late," said Founder & Director Solitaire group of Schools, Mir Murtuza Ali.
