Covid toll rises to 53 in Telangana with four more deaths
Four more deaths took place in Telangana taking the tally to 53 in the State on Sunday
Hyderabad: Four more deaths took place in Telangana taking the tally to 53 in the State on Sunday. Also, four foreign returnees and 11 migrants were among the 41 new cases confirmed on Sunday. As usual, GHMC limits registered the highest number of 23 cases among new cases.
Of the four dead on Sunday, two were males and two were females. While one hailed from Jagtial other three belong to Hyderabad. Except a 48-year-old female, the other three were of 60 years and above. Two died due to Covid while one expired due to leukemia and the fourth one had serious respiratory issues.
Also, 24 patients were discharged on Sunday. After four foreign evacuees tested positive on Saturday another six more joined the list on Sunday taking the total infected so far to 10.
While the first four came from Kuwait, the fresh cases came from Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Riyadh The total positive tally rose to 1854 and total discharged to 1092. Active cases in the State stood at 709.
