CP Mahesh M Bhagwat fulfils wish of ailing teen
A 17-year-old girl studying Inter second year wished to become an IPS officer, which is nation’s one of the most desiring, responsible and respectful service.
Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl studying Inter second year wished to become an IPS officer, which is nation's one of the most desiring, responsible and respectful service.
Before she could fulfil her dream, unfortunately, she was diagnosed with blood cancer, hospitalised and undergoing treatment for life threatening disease.
However, the girl's wish of becoming Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda for a day was fulfilled by Mahesh M Bhagwat, Rachakonda Police Commissioner.
On Tuesday, A Ramya, resident of Old Alwal acted as the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda for a day.
On knowing the ordeal of A Ramya, Make-A-Wish Foundation approached Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, CP Rachakonda presenting before him the wish of Ramya, who dreams to be a Commissioner of Police for a day.
Ramya, daughter of A Narsimha and A Padma is studying 2nd year MPC in a private Intermediate college at Suchitra in Medchal district. At the age of 17, she is fighting blood cancer (Leukemia) bravely. Dr Kiran (Oncology) of NIMS, Panjagutta is treating her.
Taking charge as the Commissioner of Police of Rachakonda, Ramya stated that she would like to control the law and order problems, implement 5S system (sort, set, sweep, standardise, sustain), create friendly police atmosphere in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate and that she will bring good name and reputation to the Commissionerate.
Addressing the media queries, she stated that she is feeling very happy being Commissioner of Police Rachakonda, that as one day CP she will prevent property offences, control law and order problems in Rachakonda limits and take measures for the protection of women and also increase the number of She Teams and patrolling parties.
Mahesh Bhagwat and Sudheer Babu, Additional Commissioner of Police Rachakonda wished Ramya a speedy recovery and presented her a small financial help for emergencies. Ramya was given the guard of honour.
This is second instance of fulfilling wish by CP Rachakonda. In year 2017, one small boy Ehsan's wish to become Commissioner for a day was also fulfilled.
