Darshan suspended after woman beggar dies on Yadagirigutta hilltop

Yadagirigutta: A woman beggar was killed in a road accident on the hilltop of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta on Tuesday morning. Following her death on the hill, temple authorities took immediate measures in accordance with temple traditions and rituals. As the death occurred on the sacred hilltop, they closed the doors and suspended darshan for devotees.

Officials said darshan would be resumed after completing the prescribed purification rituals and Samprokshana ceremonies in accordance with religious traditions.

According to available information, a speeding car hit the woman. She sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. The deceased was identified as Eshwaramma, a local resident of Yadagirigutta.

On receiving information about the accident, police rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation. They shifted the body to the Bhongir Area Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police took the driver of the car involved in the accident into custody and shifted him to the police station. A case was registered and an investigation was launched to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident.
