The Telangana government has decided to resume all services including OP and elective surgeries in all tertiary hospitals in the state immediately

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has decided to resume all services including OP and elective surgeries in all tertiary hospitals in the state immediately. To this effect, all Superintendents of Teaching and Speciality Hospitals under the DME were given instructions. It was advised to use PPE and N95 masks and other measures for safety of the hospital staff. In the Out-Patient counters it was told to ensure physical distancing and even in the wards there should be no overcrowding. Proper Sanitation measures have to be followed without fail.

Also hospitals were instructed to run separate Fever Clinics so that they will not intermingle with other patients visiting for OP services.If any patient attending the OP or brought to the hospital with symptoms of COVID 19, they should be kept in the isolation ward and all precautions and protocols to be followed as prescribed by ICMR.

Gandhi Hospital and Govt Chest Hospital will continue to function as Nodal COVID-19 Centres and part of the Sarojini Devi Eye hospital as Isolation Centre as declared earlier, DME said
