Hyderabad: Telangana government on Thursday gave orders for regularising the residential and commercial units of encroached government lands in various districts, which were handed over by Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
The SCCL lands were handed over to the State government in districts like Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Adilabad, Mancherial, Peddapally and Jagtial.
Government removed the condition of ten-year limit as mentioned in the BPL category and permitted the District Collectors to invite new applications for regularisation of residential and commercial units of encroached government lands which were handed over by SCCL.
