Gunfoundry: Eminent academician Prof Anwar Khan on Thursday urged people to actively partake in the MLC graduate voter registration process and exercise their right to vote under the graduate constituency.

He said "Every vote counts. The votes of graduates can make a significant difference in selecting the right candidate." He said the last date for voter registration has been extended from December 31, 2020 to January 8, 2021 for the Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar constituency.

Prof Khan, who is contesting as independent, has served as principal of Anwar-ul-Uloom College. He is the national president of the All- India Ideal Teachers' Association. He announced that a help centre has been set up to help citizens register their names as voters.

To do this, one is required to send a soft copy of the latest degree certificate, voter ID, Aadhaar card and a passport photo on WhatsApp helpline number 9866092730. The centre will register the voter's name with the government, he said.
