Hyderabad: GHMC witnesses huge drop in coronavirus cases
Hyderabad records 298 coronavirus positive cases out of the total 1,931 registered in Telangana
The areas under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) have witnessed huge drop in coronavirus positive cases, according to the latest health bulletin released by the government. GHMC reported 298 positive cases in the last 24 hours out of the total 1,931 cases registered across the state.
Telangana on Thursday witnessed 1,931 coronavirus positive cases totalling the tally to 86,475. While 11 new deaths have been registered pushing the death toll to 665. As many as 1,780 persons have been recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. So far, 63,074 were recovered from the disease. At present, there are 22,736 active cases in the state.
Around 23,303 samples were tested by the government in a single day of which 1,931 turned positive and the results of 706 samples are awaited. So far, 6,89,150 samples have been tested in the state.
Meanwhile, the positive cases in the state include 298 from GHMC, 144 from Warangal Urban, 124 from Rangareddy, 89 from Karimnagar, 86 from Sangareddy, 84 from Nalgonda, 73 from Khammam, 71 each from Medchal-Malkajgiri and Siddipet, 64 from Suryapet, 59 from Jangaon, 56 from Jogulamba-Gadwal, 54 from Rajanna-Sircilla, 53 each from Nagar Kurnool and Nizamabad, 52 from Jagtial and rest of them from remaining districts in the state.
