Getting into details, the accused, who works in a software firm befriended his colleague and professed his love. The duo fell in love and decided to stay in a live-in relationship.

The accused also introduced her to his parents and relatives who refused to accept their marriage. On November 13, the accused called the woman and asked to go to Paradise convention centre with her parents and relatives to marry her.

The woman was shocked after learning that no marriage was going in the hall and realised that she was cheated. The accused have gone absconding and switched off his phone.

The incident came to light on Saturday when the woman lodged a complaint with the police.
