Hyderabad: Minister Eatala Rajender warns erring private labs

Hyderabad: Taking serious exception to lapses being done in Covid-19 testing in private labs, Health Minister Eatala Rajender has issued serious warnings on Saturday. He said that notices have been issued to labs that were found to violate ICMR norms in testing.
Eatala said that tests done at one of the labs have shown 70 per cent positive reports which is nowhere seen in the world. He said that health department will send a task force committee to make another round of all these labs to identify the lapses and suggest corrective measures to be taken. He said those who don't toe the line will face action by the government.
Eatala said that department has started door-to-door survey to identify fever cases as people are getting panicked if they are developing fever, cough, cold that are a common in monsoon season.
Meanwhile, Eatala announced that staff recruitment in TIMS, Gachibowli is completed. They got 13,000 applications for 499 posts and all doctors and medical staff would report to duties from Monday.
