I-T raids Dil Raju ahead of Maharishi release
Ahead of the release of the big budget Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Maharishi’, produced by Dil Raju, the Income Tax department raided his office and residence at Sagar Society on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: Ahead of the release of the big budget Mahesh Babu starrer 'Maharishi', produced by Dil Raju, the Income Tax department raided his office and residence at Sagar Society on Wednesday. Dil Raju co-produced the film along with Aswini Dutt and Prasad V Potluri.
Maharishi is a high budget project, with most of the film having been shot in the United States.
Sources said the I-T sleuths have inspected all the records at his house and office. They are said to have inquired about movie's budget, pre-release promotions and collections, the kind of collections they are expecting, the revenue he got for his previous films like 'Fun and Frustration', a box-office hit.
The I-T sleuths have also collected the business details from the accountants' team of Dil Raju regarding the money spent, pre-release business, etc. Reports say that the producers may rake in more than Rs 100 crore revenue on the film in the two states.
