HYDERABAD: On Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), issued a warning by saying that, the mercury levels across the state of Telangana are set to rise till May 9 and the heatwave conditions are likely to grip most districts in Telangana.

As per the weather report that has been issued by the IMD places such as, Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Nirmal, Jagtial, Mancherial, Rajanna Sircilla, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Yadadri, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Khammam, Suryapet and Nalgonda are likely to experience the heatwave conditions.

In Khammam, Mahbubabad, Jagtial, Nalgonda and Jayashankar Bhupally, the mercury levels have already touched 45-46°C.

A weather report issued by Skymet read, "After May 8, a confluence zone is expected to form over Telangana and adjoining areas leading to drop in temperatures. People have been advised to remain indoors especially between noon and 3 pm."
