Jagtial: The dream of shelter-less poor people to own a house is going to be fulfilled by the State government with double bedroom housing scheme, informed District Collector G Ravi after inaugurating integrated 2BHK Housing complex at Tippannapet village of Jagtial urban mandal on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector G Ravi said that he was very happy that he was sanctioning 2BHK to the beneficiaries, which were constructed with two bedrooms, one hall, one kitchen and one bathroom.

The people must keep their houses clean and must raise plants in surroundings. 'Around 920 double bedroom houses are in the last stage of construction and all steps were taken to complete them as early as possible seeking the cooperation from the public representatives. Steps also would be taken for making all the schemes that were introduced by the government available for various sections of people,' assured the Collector.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson Dava Vasantha said that unlike any other government, the TRS government is fulfilling the dream of the poor people by sanctioning double bedroom houses. Due to elections, the distribution of houses was delayed. The houses are well equipped and people can directly live without any problems of water and electricity and drainage system.

Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjeev Kumar said that he was happy to participate in the housewarming ceremony of about 20 families to whom the 2BHK were sanctioned.

For every constituency, 1,000 double bedroom houses were sanctioned and for Jagtial constituency, an additional 320 houses were sanctioned, he informed.

The government had introduced several schemes for the sake of women and this housing scheme was also meant for women and sanctioned for women only. 'The earlier government did not bother about the problems of the poor people, but under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the TRS government is striving hard to uplift the weaker sections present across the state.'
