Five government teachers were suspended for backing the headmaster who was arrested after sexually assaulting six girl students by DEO E Somashekara Sharma.
Kothagudem: Five government teachers were suspended for backing the headmaster who was arrested after sexually assaulting six girl students by DEO E Somashekara Sharma.
The suspended teachers are -- G Veerbhadram, CH Ramaiah, J Lingaiah (ZPSS Mailaram), T Seshagiri Rao (MPSS Chintavarre) and P Srinivas Rao (MPSS K Anjanapuram). It is learned that all these teachers had decided to act in favour of the headmaster Sunil Kumar after conducting a 'panchayat'.
The teachers tried to settle the case by holding talks with the parents of the six girl students to help the headmaster and prove that he was innocent. However, the parents of the victims approached the police following which the teachers were suspended.
The school headmaster was arrested by the police earlier this month for sexually exploiting the girl students under the pretext of taking classes. All the students are aged between 7 and 11 years. The incident came to light when one of the girls fell sick and disclosed the matter to her parents.
