Demanding quality health service to the people in the state, All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) State secretary Mallu Lakshmi on Wednesday demanded the government to fill the vacant posts in the Health department and improve facilities in the State-run hospitals.

Kothagudem: Demanding quality health service to the people in the state, All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) State secretary Mallu Lakshmi on Wednesday demanded the government to fill the vacant posts in the Health department and improve facilities in the State-run hospitals.

She was addressing a meeting of the Kothagudem district unit of the association. The AIDWA State secretary said the people in the State are suffering from malaria, typhoid, dengue and other seasonal fevers. However, the government is the seriousness of the issue and not providing the quality services to the people in hospitals.

She also alleged that due to shortage of staff in the primary health centres the villagers are dying of fever. She demanded to fill all vacant posts in the Health department immediately. In the Area Hospital in the district people are facing problems due to insufficient beds. She also alleged that the Health Minister visited hospital in the district but he did not give any assurance for filling the vacant posts.

AIDWA leaders Marlpati Renuka, Jyothi, Leelavathi, S Laxmi, Sakunthala, K Krishna Kumari and others attended the programme.
