Kothagudem: Officials told to increase coal production in October
The production in September was badly hit due to heavy rains
Kothagudem: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar directed all the General Managers to do speed up the works of new opencast mines at Kristaram (Sathupalli), KTK (Bhoopalapally) and GDK 5 at Ramagundam.
On Thursday, he conducted a meeting with the company Directors and the General Managers at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad. He reviewed the coal production for the month of September.
Stating that the coal production was slowed down in many of its areas due to heavy rains, the SCCL chief directed the officials to meet 9 lakh tonnes target production in October.
Directors of the company S Shanker, S Chandra Sekhar, B Bhasker Rao and N Balaram and General Managers Anthony Raja, KV Ramana Murthy and others attended the meeting.
