Ministers console bereaved Priyanka Reddy parents

Hyderabad: Telangana Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod was gheraoed by women organisations at the residence of veterinary doctor Priyanka Reddy, who was allegedly raped and murdered by a four-member gang.
The locals and women group members said that police should also be held responsible for the brutal murder as they failed to respond to the call of help from victim's parents. The women also raised slogans against the Minister.
However, the Minister managed to meet the parents and consoled them. Earlier, Ministers P Sabitha Indra Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav also visited Priyanka's house and consoled the family members.
Sabitha advised the women to save SHE teams numbers on their phone and not hesitate to contact the police when in distress.
Talasani said women should utilise the latest technology and dial 100 if they face any problems.
He offered a government job to Priyanka's family members if they were interested. The three Minister's opined that if Priyanka contacted the police through dial 100 or SHE teams then this horrific incident would not have happened.
Minister K T Rama Rao also took to Twitter to express his dismay over the heinous crime that has disturbed the State.
He said he would personally monitor the case and expressed confidence that the police would nab the accuse and collect all evidence.
