Nizamabad: Bodhan police registered a case against Bodhan MLA Shakil Amer for their alleged involvement in an extortion case, on Thursday.
Police said there were complaints that the MLA, his brother, and 8 of his followers were involved in an extortion case.
One Dharmavarapu Venugopal complained to the police on Wednesday that the MLA and his supporters had attacked him for not paying enough money. A complaint was filed by three persons and a case was registered.
The MLA also filed a theft case against the complainants.
