Nizamabad: Demanding three-phase power supply to be restored immediately, farmers blocked Salura national highway in Nizamabad district on Friday. They said that the power cuts to villages should be stopped.
A large number of farmers besieged the sub-station to protect the crops sown during the "Yasangi" season. Due to this concern, a large number of vehicles stopped on the national highway.
The farmers of Bodhan Salura mandal area criticised the government stating that the farmers are facing severe problems due to power cuts. They expressed concern that the crops planted in Yasangi were drying up due to power cuts in the afternoon.
