Preparation of Graduates' MLC Voter List Must Be Done Thoroughly and Within the Deadline: District Collector Adarsh Surabhi

District Collector Adarsh Surabhi has directed the concerned officials to ensure that the process of preparing the voter list for the upcoming Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Graduates' MLC election is conducted transparently and meticulously, in accordance with the schedule prescribed by the Election Commission.

Wanaparthy District: On Friday, Telangana State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) P. Sudarshan Reddy held a video conference with District Collectors from across the state to review the preparation of the voter list for the Graduates' MLC election. During the meeting, he issued various instructions to officials regarding the schedule for accepting Form-18 applications, verifying applicant eligibility, preparing the draft voter list, and publishing the final list.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEO emphasized the need to strictly adhere to Election Commission guidelines during the voter list preparation process and to take measures to ensure that the names of eligible graduates are registered. He directed that further actions be taken only after thoroughly scrutinizing the applications and verifying eligibility. Subsequently, District Collector Adarsh Surabhi directed officials to carry out the process of preparing the voters' list for the Graduates' MLC election according to the prescribed schedule. He advised them to create awareness among eligible graduates, keeping in mind November 6 as the deadline for receiving Form-18 applications.
He instructed that applicants' eligibility be verified in accordance with election rules and that the details in the applications and relevant certificates be thoroughly checked. He directed that objections and claims received after the publication of the draft voters' list on November 25 be accepted between November 25 and December 10, and that measures be taken to resolve them within the stipulated timeframe.
The Collector ordered the completion of the preparation and printing of supplementary lists by December 25 following the resolution of objections, and instructed that all necessary arrangements be made for the publication of the final voters' list on December 30.
The District Collector emphasized that all actions regarding the preparation of the voters' list for the Graduates' MLC election must be taken in accordance with Election Commission guidelines, ensuring transparency and accuracy while leaving no room for errors.
