Satish slams Congress over power supply issues
Husnabad: Former MLA Vodithala Satish Kumar criticised the Congress government over power supply disruptions affecting farmers and demanded uninterrupted, quality electricity for agricultural needs.
He participated in a protest and road blockade organised by farmers on Monday in front of the Divisional Engineer’s office and substation on Karimnagar Road in Husnabad.
Speaking at the protest, Satish Kumar said the previous BRS government had prioritised farmers’ welfare through free electricity, irrigation support and the Rythu Bandhu scheme. He alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil its election promises, leaving farmers to face hardships due to irregular power supply. He urged the government to address farmers’ concerns instead of merely promoting its ‘Praja Palana’ slogan. He demanded immediate measures to resolve electricity disruptions and ensure a reliable supply for agricultural activities. Satish Kumar said the BRS would continue fighting for farmers’ rights until their issues were resolved. BRS leaders, party workers and farmers participated in the protest.
