Kothagudem: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has decided to reconsider cases of former employees who were dismissed from service due to unauthorised absence between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025, offering them an opportunity for reinstatement.
The management issued orders on Tuesday, inviting applications from eligible former employees and constituted a high-power committee to examine their cases and consider their re-employment. As per the eligibility conditions, applicants should not have been above 46 years of age as on April 1, 2026. They should also have completed at least 100 muster days in any two years during the preceding five calendar years before the period of dismissal. Eligible candidates must be medically fit for reappointment to the post of general assistant trainee (underground), category-I.
The decision follows a request made by several public representatives from the coal belt region during a recent meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. They urged the government to provide another opportunity to employees who had been dismissed for absenteeism. Responding to their appeal, Bhatti Vikramarka directed the Singareni management to examine the possibility of reinstating such employees.
Following the directions, the management issued orders on Tuesday, providing an opportunity to eligible former employees dismissed during the specified period.
Interested candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format to the head of the mine or department where they last worked. The last date for submission of applications is November 14.
Area general managers have been instructed to scrutinise the applications received from eligible candidates and forward them to the concerned authorities within the stipulated time for further action. Former employees seeking clarification on eligibility criteria and the application process have been advised to contact the officials of their respective mines or departments, the Chief Public Relations Officer said.
