Special prayers performed for timely rains

Basheerabad: Special prayers were offered to the village deity of Navandgi Raktha Mysamma seeking timely rains and good harvest, here on Tuesday.

Women, children and elders participated in the festivities. After having the 'Nyvedyam' women and children took out rally accompanied by drums. They prayed the Goddess for the bountiful rains in the season.
