District Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy and SP Bhaskaran said that playing sports is a way of life after inaugurating inter-district cricket tournament, organised by Suryapet Cricket Club here on Sunday
Suryapet: District Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy and SP Bhaskaran said that playing sports is a way of life after inaugurating inter-district cricket tournament, organised by Suryapet Cricket Club here on Sunday.
They felt that games and sports will develop friendship among sports persons of villages, districts, States and countries and will help in establishing peace. They advised sportsmen to play tournament in a disciplined manner by following rules and regulations of the game.
Municipal Vice-Chairman Putta Kishore Kumar said that Minister G Jagadish Reddy has been putting all his efforts to develop sports in the district. Apart from providing incentives to the players, gyms have been set up in several villages in Suryapet constituency following the request of sportsmen and youth of respective villages to the Minister, he added.
Leaders Ramgiri Nagesh, Mudireddy Anil Reddy, K Venugopal Reddy, D Srinivas, E Rambabu Goud, Gone Ashok, Shaik Nasir, Satish, Nukala Srinu, Praveen and others participated in the programme.
