Teacher held for sexually harassing students in Hyderabad

A teacher was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly seeking sexual favours from students here in Ghatkesar. Ramanamurthy working at Edulabad government school is said to be sexually harassing the students. Fed up over the harassment, a student Bhagyalakshmi complained to SHE teams.
The accused was taken into custody by Ghatkesar police. An investigation is underway.
In March 2019, a school teacher, Nithya was arrested for harassing her students in Tiruvannamalai. Based on the complaint lodged by Nithya's husband Umesh Kumar, the police took her into custody. Umesh Kumar approached the collector in December last year after he saw some pictures of his wife with students on her phone.
Nithya is learned to have sexually abused the school students between age groups of 15 and 17 for over three years.
