Telangana: 50 quintals of PDS rice seized in Siddipet
The revenue officials on Wednesday raided a hut in Nagapuri village of Cheryal Mandal of Siddipet district and seized 50 quintals of PDS rice stored illegally.
The revenue officials on Wednesday raided a hut in Nagapuri village of Cheryal Mandal of Siddipet district and seized 50 quintals of PDS rice stored illegally.
Villagers of Nagapuri noticed a few unidentified people dumping the rice in a hut at outskirts of the village on Tuesday night and alerted the revenue officials. The officials seized the rice and informed the police who registered a case and are trying to nab the culprits.
On June 12, 2020 - the Central Crime Station (CCS) police seized 35 quintals of PDS rice from a house at Issipet village of Mogullapally Mandal. The house owner, Gaikoti Ashok told the police that he was collecting rice from the white ration card holders and transporting it to Maharashtra at higher prices.
The Mogullapally police registered a case and arrested the person.
