The Telangana government has utterly failed to protect women and girl children, said Telugu Desham Party women unit president, Nujetti Vani here on Saturday.
Karimnagar: The Telangana government has utterly failed to protect women and girl children, said Telugu Desham Party women unit president, Nujetti Vani here on Saturday. Addressing the media persons, Vani condemned the incidents which took place against women in the State from the past few days.
She alleged that before we could forget the incidents of Dr. Priyanka Reddy and Manasa, one more incident of murder and rape of a woman took place near Siddulagutta which create panic among the people. There is no safety for women and girl children in the State. Incidents of rape and murder are increasing day by day in the state.
The parents of the girl children are in the state of fear and afraid to send their kids outside due to lack of proper protection to them. Even the police officials are not taking proper precautionary steps when such incidents are taking place repeatedly. Even after introduction of the Nirbaya Act, there is no fear among the miscreants. The incidents of harassment, murders and rape are continuing, infact more compared to previous years, she pointed out.
To stop such kind incidents, there is a need to kill the culprits in encounter, she suggested. She demanded to punish the culprits severely along with police personnel who spoke rudely with the victim Priayanka Reddy's parents. The TDP leaders Dusa Swathi, Botla Bharatamma and Juvajji Pushpa were present on the occasion.
