Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav criticises the BJP leaders for their outburst against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family

Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders on Tuesday lashed out against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit leaders for using the abolition of Article 370 for political gains.

Addressing a press conference here, Talasani Srinivas Yadav criticised the BJP leaders for their outburst against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

"BJP State unit president K Laxman says there is rule of Kalvakuntlas in the State. What is wrong in that? Is it not Modi government at the Centre?

The BJP leaders are habituated to target the Chief Minister and his family members. They are trying to provoke people by bringing up friendship of AIMIM and TRS," Srinivas Yadav said.

He said the MIM has supported the government during the Pulwama attack. He asked the BJP leaders not to drag the TRS into the tussle of MIM and BJP.

The Minister further attacked the BJP leaders and stated that they were jumping up and down after winning just four Lok Sabha seats. They should remember that the TRS has won more seats than BJP, he said.

"A former TRS leader who joined BJP was also talking against the party. He was given respect and he should also remember that the government installed a statue of his father at Tank Bund," Yadav said referring to G Vivek.

Srinivas Yadav said the BJP leaders should not utilise the abrogation of Article 370 for political gains.

The Chief Minister wants to have good relations between two Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and he is also taking up initiative for amicable sharing of river waters by both the States.

Replying to a question, the Minister said that government was not fearing of elections and the municipal polls would be taken up in time.

The TRS is the party which went for early polls and won it, he said. He refused to comment on rumours that Hyderabad would be made a Union Territory.

TRS MLA B Suman wrote an open letter to the BJP State unit alleging that it was doing injustice to Telangana.

He said NITI Aayog recommended allocation of Rs 24,000 crore for projects like Mission Bhagiratha and Kaleshwaram but the Centre did not release single rupee.

How would the people of Telangana believe the BJP leaders, he added.
