Vocational excellence awards presented

Hyderabad: The Rotary Club of Secunderabad West conducted Vocational Excellence Award programme at Begumpet. It was attended a large number of members and guests. Rotary International District Governor Ramesh Vangala, Assistant Governor K Ramayya, Club President Kamal Jain and Club Secretary Dr Sarojini along with other club directors and members took part in the programme.

Every year, the Rotary Club recognises people who have done great work beyond their duties and contributed to the welfare of the society. Rotary Club of Secunderabad West has been rendering outstanding work in the community transforming the lives of less privileged.

As per the press note issued by Vardhaman Jain, Director (Public Relations), this year three people have been selected by the awards committee to be honoured with vocational excellence awards for 2018-19.

The awardees are as follows:

J Ramesh, an auto driver. He had handed over Rs10 lakh to the rightful owner, thereby displaying exemplary honesty; Md Kareem, a postal department official. He was honoured for showing dedication and sincerity in discharging his services; and Jyothsna, Dstrict Welfare Officer, Vikarabad. She made great contributions to women empowerment and welfare of elderly and children.
