Scrutiny of voters’ lists in progress

Eluru/Narsapur: The public grievance cell ‘Mee Kosam’ was conducted in the division headquarters of Eluru and Narsapur on Monday.
The Narsapur Sub-Collector, Sumit Kumar Gandhi received the representations from people on various problems at Sub-Collector office in Narsapur.
In Eluru, RDO G Chakradhara Rao received the representations from the public at Eluru RDO office.
The Sub-Collector said that no government land should be alienated to any persons in the division. He directed officials to solve the public grievances immediately. Former MLA Mudnuri Prasada Raju, Sainath Prasad, Barre Shankar, Kadali Peddiraju, Vangalapudi Jakkarayya represented to the Sub-Collector to take up the electoral lists in Narsapur Assembly constituency. They stated that, and so far, no development works were taken up in the 30 acres site that was allotted for tourism development in Perupalem village of Mogalturu mandal.
K Madhusudana Rao, Donga Pulla Rao and Devireddy Suresh of Kalipatnam East village of Mogaltur Mandal, said that the AIRTEL company was trying to construct a Cell Tower in the village at the cost of the public health. They requested him to direct the AIRTEL officials to construct the tower far from the residential areas.
In Eluru, the RDO G Chakradhara Rao, said that electoral enumeration was going on in Eluru, Tadepalligudem in the Division, during the Mee Kosam programme. He said that household survey was going on for the electoral lists. He informed that Eluru has 1,35,800 voters and so far 1,15,586 voters were scrutinised during household enumeration. Another 20,000 votes would be scrutinised during the survey, he stated.
In Tadepalligudem, 75,000 voters enumeration was complete. He said that the representations received from the public were uploaded online and directed the concerned officials to take steps to solve those problems.
