Inaugurating a week-long MCR Cricket Tournament at Posts and Telegraph Colony here on Sunday, he said that jobs can easily be secured under sports quota for those who prove their mettle. The tournament will be held till December 30.
The MLC further stated that the state government was constructing stadia to encourage sports and giving incentives to sports persons. “In Rajamahendravaram, a stadium would be coming up soon and steps have been taken to provide necessary facilities in the existing municipal stadium,” he added.
The first day match was held between political leaders and media persons.
TDP leader Adireddy Vasu, Rajamahendri College secretary TKV Reddy, corporator MD Srinivas, Uma, Kanna Babu, Suri and others were present at the inaugural programme.
