Amaravati: In a setback to CM YS Jagan's government, the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (Aptel) has given stay to the notice issued by the AP government to Greenko group.

The government has issued the notice to Greenko company to reduce the power tariff from Rs 4.50 to Rs 2.44 per unit. However, the Greenko confirmed that the pricing decision would come under the limits of the regulatory.

The company also clarified that if the power is given for Rs 2.44 per unit in Rajasthan, the same price can't be provided to Andhra Pradesh. The Tribunal has stayed the controversial notices issued by the government to the three energy firms of the Greenko group on 12 July.
