Guntur: Guntur rural SP Ch Vijaya Rao on Tuesday directed the police officials to strictly implement lockdown to check spread of Coronavirus. He visited Chilakaluripet town and observed how people are voluntarily implementing the lockdown.
Speaking on the occasion, he said they have set up check posts at the borders of AP and Telangana to stop vehicle movement. He said that Gurazala DSP would supervise the check posts.
Check posts were also set up at the borders of Krishna and Prakasam districts which would supervised by Bapatla DSP, he added.
He said that they have set up 55 check posts in Guntur rural police district so far. He instructed the police to take steps to close all the shops except hospitals and medical shops after 8 pm.
