Anantapur: District Collector Gandham Chandrudu directed the officials to immediate reinstatement of 5 Anganwadi workers serving since 2004. The workers were removed from service based on an incorrect complaint. The 5 Anganwadi workers met the Collector at the 'Mee Kosam' public grievance forum on Monday and urged him to reinstate them. Two of them belonged to ST, One an SC and two others from BC communities.

The workers thanked the Collector for his initiative.

More than 600 petitions have been received by the Collector from different sections of people.

Speaking on the occasion, Gandham Chandrudu advised the district and mandal officers to take the grievances of all people with seriousness as Chief Minister himself reviewing the outcome of petitions.

The collector also positively responded to a plea by the sister of the deceased ICDS supervisor at Chilamattur village that she be considered for a job in place of her sister as she died in a road mishap.
