Guntur: Andhra Pradesh School Education Regulatory and Monitoring Commission warned of stern action against the managements of corporate and private schools and colleges who have not paid salaries to their staff for the months of March, April and May. .The commission expressed ire on the managements for linking salaries of the teachers with the admissions and engaging the teachers for conducting a door-to-door campaign for admissions in the backdrop of increasing Covid-19 cases. If the management did not follow the orders, the recognition for the schools and colleges concerned will be cancelled. It is learnt that the commission sent recommendations to the government to this effect.

APSERMC told the teachers and lecturers working in corporate and private schools and colleges they may upload their grievances on apsermc.ap.gov.in portal.

Meanwhile, lecturers and teachers under the banner of Private Teachers, Lecturers and Professors Welfare Association, Guntur district, on Thursday took out a procession in Guntur city demanding the government to direct the managements to pay Rs 10,000 per month in the backdrop of Covid-19. The association district president Dr B Srinivasa Rao urged the government to introduce welfare schemes for teachers and lecturers working in the private schools and colleges. He alleged that the corporate schools and colleges have already collected the fee from the students but not paying salaries to the teachers and lecturers.
