Kurnool: Distressed upon the harassment by husband, wife allegedly killed her husband in Bethencherla of Kurnool. She allegedly chopped him to death with an axe while he was asleep and went to the police station and surrendered. The incident took place around midnight on Tuesday in Gorlagutta village under the Bethencherla Mandal. According to the police, Ramadasu of Gorlagutta village and Sunkulamma's son Wadde Chinna Anjaneyulu (35) were married 17 years ago to Narasimhudu and Lakshmidevi's daughter Dhanalakshmi of Palukuru village in Banaganapalle Mandal and has daughters Pujitha, Varshini and a son Hemanth.

He worked in a police factory and supported his family. Anjaneyulu who had been suspicious of his wife for some time started harassing. On Tuesday, he got drunk and got into an altercation with his wife. The two then proceeded to sleep. In the middle of the night, the wife indiscriminately chopped and killed her husband, who was asleep and surrendered in police station. However, the matter is yet to be confirmed by the police.

CI Keshava Reddy and SI Suresh reached the spot and questioned him. The body was shifted to Banaganapalle for postmortem. The CI said the case was being registered and investigated as per the complaint of the family members.
