The YSRCP government headed by Chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken yet another decision on Visakhapatnam. The city, which is announced as the administrative capital is allocated funds of Rs 19.73 crore for the construction of the Millennium Towers B. The fund were released to IT department. It is reported that the government is considering Visakha Millennium Tower B to hold secretariat operations.

On the other hand, the Jagan government is also trying to move key offices to Vishakhapatnam by the end of this month. Officials are preparing to move the Vigilance and Enforcement DG office to Visakhapatnam in a day or two. Vigilance Enforcement DG office staff has been informed orally by the state government to those extents while the official orders will be issued soon. The Vigilance Enforcement Directorate Office is currently located in the Admin Block at the RTC campus in Vijayawada.

The government has already issued orders to the various government departments to move to their offices to Kurnool. The Kurnool district collector and the Road and Buildings Engineer in chief have been issued a directive by the Chief Secretary of the government to identify the buildings suitable for setting up these offices.

The AP government is likely to issue official orders on the evacuation of some key offices by the end of this month.
